Yes, we will treat ourselves to a massage every once in a while, and perhaps even a night out on the town with the girls, but how do we find inspiration in all of the normal hustle and bustle of life, that often times leaves not much to be desired?
Here are a few tips on gaining more inspiration in your life. All very simple, but often overlooked.

Connect to Nature
Connecting with nature through observation provides many opportunities to learn, grow, gain new wisdom, receive guidance, and resolve difficult situations. Embrace and absorb the sights, sounds and smells of nature to help you connect to your inner self.
- Watch a sunrise or sunset
- Observe birds in flight
- Listen to the sound of flowing water (natural bodies of water, fountains)

Read Words of Inspiration

Read a feel good book or inspirational quotes that help you to believe in the magic of life.

Express Gratitude

Acknowledge at least five experiences or people in your life that you are grateful for. Express gratitude to anyone on your list. Create a “journal of gratitude” that holds all of your moments of appreciation.

Create or Appreciate Art

Just like music, art is a great therapeutic modality. Art comes in many forms and is even more effective when engaged directly (creating) rather than passively (watching, listening). It doesn’t matter if you are a novice or a professional! Find your artistic medium (painting, dance, sewing, drawing, scrapbooking, etc.) and let the inspiration flow!
